Aswan Botanical Garden
Have an amazing tour and entertain your eyes with Aswan Botanical Garden and it has another name that is known as Kitchener’s Island, Because Lord Horatio Kitchener made it the seat of his army in 1899. Shortly after Lord Kitchener left the island, it was returned to the Ministry of Irrigation, and then known as the Island of Kings, and is now one of Aswan's most spectacular tourist attractions.
Kitchener Island was given to Lord Horatio Kitchener, who turned the whole island to botanical garden in the 1928, importing plants from Far East, India and species from Africa
The island has a wide variety of plantations and trees, some of which are naturally present on the island before becoming a Botanical island and others are brought in. The gardens have an area of 6.8 hectares, and the gardens are filled with birds as well as hundreds of species of plants.
The island contains countless exotic plants and trees, as well as very rare palm trees such as the Royal Palm Tree, the Sabal Palm Tree and the Phoenix Bam Tree. The island is also a haven for rare exotic birds.
