Baron Palace

Visit the Baron Palace was designed by renowned French architect Alexander Marcel, inspired by the Temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and decorated by George Louis Claude, and was constructed during 1906 and 1911.


The Baron Palace was derived from the baron General Edward Louis Joseph Empain, who built this palace, where he became a renowned Egyptologist amateur, then decided to stay in Egypt and declared his love for the Egyptian Sahara. So he brought the finest sculptures and artists from India to make a charming construction, it has two additional floors and two floors underground which includes a server room, a kitchen and a family mausoleum, there is a tunnel connected to the nearby church that the baron also built and two elevators.
