Taha Hussein Museum

Taha Hussein is one of the most famous and great Egyptian writers and intellectuals. He was also born in one of the villages in Minya governorate located in the center of Upper Egypt and studied in a traditional and ancient Egyptian place called Al-Kuttab, same as schools, and then attended Al-Azhar University where he studied Arabic literature and religion.


Taha Hussein Museum is therefore one of the most important cultural and literary museums. It contains all the books that belong to the great writer and the great character Taha Hussein, so when you go there you will be excited by the amount of his books in history, education, literature and philosophy.

This museum contains more than fifty books transferred from the Arabic Library to Taha Hussein Museum on the order of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture. When you go there you will find a small bronze bust at the entrance of the museum representing Taha Hussein. This sculpture was constructed by the artist Abdul Qader Rizq in 1936. This museum consists of two floors. The first floor offers study of Taha Hussein's location and a large space for meeting politicians. His library contains some 7,000 books. The second floor consists of a small hall and three bedrooms, as well as all the accolades, gifts and collectibles he received in his life.
